OT Functional Assessment

Service Description

"The person is an individual with a unique set of identities, experiences, and abilities" - Law et al., 1996 A Functional Assessment measures an individual's level of function and ability to perform specific tasks in all aspects of daily living that are important to the person. It can provide crucial information that can assist a person to achieve their goals by identifying a person's strengths and weaknesses to enable challenges to be addressed. Following on from the functional assessments, recommendations are made to increase a person's independance through therapy goals, assistive technology, equipment or support. ​ ​ ​
